Evaporation
Cut evaporation. An uncovered pool loses water to the air constantly — topping up is money down the drain. A fitted cover holds it in.
Heat loss
Keep the heat you paid for. A pool loses heat off its open surface after dark. A cover traps it, so your heater does less work.
Cleaning time
Spend less time skimming and filter run-time. Leaves, dust and debris blow straight onto open water. A cover keeps them out.
Chemical & water use
Use less of both. An open pool loses water and burns through chemical faster in sun and wind. A cover slows both, so you refill and dose less often.

Frequently Asked Questions
Solar covers use sunlight to warm the water and hold that heat overnight. They're the default for an unheated or seasonally heated pool you want swim-ready for longer. Thermal covers don't heat the water — they're closed-cell insulating foam, and they hold temperature far better than a bubble cover. That's the choice for a heated pool where the running cost is the problem, or a cooler region where you're fighting overnight loss. Debris covers do neither: they sit over the pool and keep leaves, grit and sunlight out through autumn and winter. The configurator asks what you want the cover to do and narrows it for you.
A reel isn't required, but a wet cover on a pool over about four metres is heavy and awkward, and covers that are hard to handle stop getting used. The configurator works out which reels span your pool width and only offers those.
Oval and round pools are priced in the configurator from the widest and longest points. Kidney, freeform and L-shaped pools can't be priced from two numbers, so we measure those and come back with a price. View our article
You supply the measurements, so a cover cut correctly to the measurements you gave us isn't a fault. Measure twice. If you'd rather not carry that, we measure the pool ourselves in Auckland as part of measure and installation at $230 including GST — where we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility.

Delivery is nationwide — free to North Island addresses, $50 flat to the South Island. Reels are long items and are freighted separately; we confirm the freight for your address before dispatch. Measure and installation is Auckland only at this stage, at $230 including GST, and the site assessment is free.
Solar covers carry 10 years pro rata. Thermal and debris covers carry 5 years pro rata. Pro rata means a replacement is charged at a share of the current price based on the cover's age — the full schedule is on the warranty page. Manual stainless reels carry 5 years pro rata on the frame and 2 years on wheels, brakes and cover-to-roller connections. Parts and accessories carry 1 year. View our warranty page.
